New Moms Network was a supportive and truly life-changing experience for me. Being the step-mom to a 4-yr-old, I thought I knew a lot about being a mom, but having an infant of my own was more challenging than I dreamed. The weekly topics that we discussed in New Moms Network helped me to work through the challenges and frustrations I was facing in a supportive group of women in similar situations. Being new to Northfield, it also helped to me meet friends in town. 5 years later, we are still friends and we are there to listen and offer support to one another with our 5-yr-olds.

New Mom’s Network met me in a season of survival mode. It was a place where I could pause and reflect on the incredible and challenging experience of being a mom. It was good for me in so many ways then, and I came away with friendships that are still going strong 11 years out.

New Moms Network is an absolute treasure–one that provided great support to me after the birth of each of my children and that has resulted in some of my richest friendships to this day. New Moms Network is unique in that it focuses on the moms, not necessarily the new babies, who demand plenty of their own attention (for good reason!). In each of my New Moms groups, we have had very open conversations, opportunities to share our own experiences, and lots of laughter–even the kind of laughter that makes you cry! Now that my kids are in their teen years, they have lifelong friends with whom they’ve grown up, and I’ve got my go-to girlfriends with years of shared experiences based on meeting when our kids were brand new to this world. I’m so grateful New Moms Network was available to me and would encourage any new mom to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with other new moms.
